Main Description
Once all the testing is completed and test results meets the acceptance criteria, the Release Manager must obtain a formal
sign-off from the Client. The test results must be handed over to the Client before requesting for the sign-off. The Client
would review these test results against the release design and release package to ensure that the release meets the
Business requirements and acceptance criteria. Client would also confirm that there are no open defects and all documents
are updated. Based on the review findings, the Client would then decide whether or not to accept the release. After Client
sign-off and approval, the release is ready to get deployed in production.
In some cases, low priority issues may be outstanding at this stage, but the Client may be willing to accept the release,
on the basis that such issues will be resolved later.
If the release is not accepted, then agreement is reached with the Client as to what issues still need to be resolved and
what further release testing should be carried out.
